We are sorry to report that it now looks very unlikely that the Hocking College Dorm rooms will become available for lodging. Up until this weekend, we have been told that they are likely to be available. To use the dorms for paid lodging, Hocking College needed to go through extensive inspections on the state level that continued to get delayed. As of Friday afternoon, they we told they passed all of the inspections, but now needed a structural inspection, which they hadn’t known about prior to Friday. They are still trying to get this inspection done on Tuesday, but with the Memorial Day Holiday, it now seems very unlikely that all things will come together to get an occupancy permit by Thursday. We are deeply sorry to those of you who have so patiently waited. We can no longer tell you that the rooms are likely to be available, it now looks like the opposite. Up until now, we really thought this was going to work out. Thank you all for understanding that this situation was completely out of NMF’s hands and even out of Hocking College’s hands to a degree. See you on Thursday. – NMF Staff
