Last week we added @mamasbroke to the #NMF23 lineup, and we could not be more excited to have Lisa and Amy at Snow Fork this year. The unique folk duo interweaves age-old music form and traditions with original modern compositions. Drawing from old-time, Quebecois, blues, punk, celtic, balkan, and doom metal, they create a soundscape that is both familiar and new.

2 months from today, #NMF23 artist @doggus_limbs will take the stage twice at Snow Fork, both as the guitar player in @wednesday_gurl and with his solo project. The Asheville singer-songwriter's latest solo release "Boat Songs" is built around songs that “chase fulfillment and happiness”—whether that means buying a boat, drinking too much, or watching seeds fall from the bird feeder.

With her spellbinding voice and time-bending sensi

With her spellbinding voice and time-bending sensibilities, @sierraelizabethferrell makes music that’s as fantastically vagabond as the artist herself.

Growing up in small-town West Virginia, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist left home in her early 20s to journey across the country with a troupe of nomadic musicians, playing everywhere from truck stops to alleyways to the back porch of a log cabin at NMF 2019.

Few artists are storytellers as deft and disarming

Few artists are storytellers as deft and disarmingly observational as #NMF23 artist Andy Shauf. The Toronto-based, Saskatchewan-raised musician’s songs unfold like short fiction: they’re densely layered with colorful characters and a rich emotional depth. On his new album The Neon Skyline, 11 interconnected tracks follow a simple plot: the narrator goes to his neighborhood dive, finds out his ex is back in town, and she eventually shows up. While its overarching narrative is riveting, the real thrill of the album comes from how Andy Shauf finds the humanity and humor in a typical night out and the ashes of a past relationship.
