Savannah Freeman’s work is inspired by her deep love of the natural world and her home in southeast Ohio. She is a self-taught block print maker who loves upcycling, the environment, and working with her hands. All of her linocut stamps are carved and printed by hand in her small home studio. She prints her designs on a variety of materials including fabric, tile, and paper. Savannah uses upcycled fabric from thrift stores and auctions for her line of hand printed textile products. Her use of repurposed materials was born from a desire to take care of the natural world and she hopes that her nature designs help to foster a love and appreciation for the environment in other people.
