NMF is presented by Stuart’s Opera House, a non-profit historic theater in Nelsonville, and when you support the festival you are also supporting Stuart’s Opera House and our programming year-round. That includes Stuart’s extensive Arts Education Program!
Each year at the festival our students from the Stuart’s Afterschool Music Program perform with their created bands! Our Afterschool Music Program (AMP) supports and fosters young men and women who are interested in learning how to play a variety of instruments and form bands. AMP is a place for young adults to gain confidence and build skills through the music of rock and roll. The program culminates with the student-run bands performing at the Nelsonville Music Festival, an event produced by Stuart’s Opera House.
