Dear NMF Family,

Hi Everyone.

Normally, at this time of year we would have started early bird ticket sales for the upcoming Nelsonville Music Festival. As we all know, this year has proven to be anything but normal.

We believe that things will eventually return to some degree of normalcy. But, because of the current uncertainty for the coming year, we are waiting to make any announcements or offer any tickets related to NMF21.

We want nothing more than to get back to sharing live music with our Stuart’s Opera House and NMF families, where we all come together with the common bond of music, art, discovery, and community. But, we will only do this when we are certain our audience, our performers, our vendors, and our staff can all participate safely and with minimal risk. We are cautiously hopeful for the future of live music and our dedicated part here in Southeast Ohio, but we are also realistic that we may have to continue to be patient, a little while longer.

Stuart’s Opera House, the sole producer of the Nelsonville Music Festival, has had our doors closed since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Performance venues across the world were among the first businesses to close and will be among the last to reopen. The Nelsonville Music Festival has always been a major, annual fundraiser for Stuart’s Opera House. With the cancellation of the 2020 festival, the uncertainty of the 2021 festival, and the continued uncertainty of the near future of live performance, we welcome your support to help ensure the future of Stuart’s Opera House and the Nelsonville Music Festival and our triumphant return to doing what we do best. To donate or purchase Stuart’s and/or NMF merchandise, please visit www.stuartsoperahouse.org.

Thank you and please be safe.

Your SOH and NMF family
