CAMPING AT NMF 2022

Every car, truck, SUV, van, mini van or other standard-sized vehicle entering the NMF site will need either a Car Camping, RV Camping, or Backcountry (Hike-in) Camping Pass or a Non-Camping Parking Pass (in addition to your festival tickets) in order to enter the Nelsonville Music Festival site.

Campgrounds will open at 8:00 AM on Friday, September 2nd and will close on Monday, September 5th at noon.

Car Camping Pass

This pass is for your vehicle; it allows you to enter our main campgrounds on Friday or any day thereafter. Gates open at 8:00am. This pass allows you to camp in or next to your vehicle. Campsite sizes are 20′ x 20′ and all accommodations must fit within this space. This means if travel to NMF in a clown car with 10 of your friends, all 11 of you can sleep in your one 20×20 spot, in as many tents as you can squeeze into the space. There are no generators allowed in the car camping area.

NOTE: You must have a festival pass to camp at NMF and to be allowed access to the site. The Car Camping Pass DOES NOT include a festival ticket.

Thursday Early Arrival Pass

This pass is for your vehicle; it allows you to enter the campgrounds on Thursday ONLY. Thursday gates open at 3:00pm and allows you to camp in or next to your vehicle. You must have a car camping, RV camping, or backcountry camping pass to use an early arrival pass.

NOTE: You must have a festival pass to camp at NMF and to be allowed access to the site. Thursday Early Arrival Pass DOES NOT include a festival ticket or a weekend camping pass.

Backcountry (Hike-In) Camping Pass SOLD OUT

A benefit of the new site is that we are surrounded by beautiful forest land. If you’d prefer a more quiet and intimate camping experience, but don’t mind a hike, backcountry camping might be for you. Please remember to LEAVE NO TRACE. In other words, you must pack everything into your campsite and pack everything out. Limited Backcountry camping at NMF is a new and exciting option and its future is dependent on you, our NMF family, to respect the property and the environment.

Backcountry spots are not specifically designated and are first come first served. Wooded tent spots can be found within 500 feet of the parking area and as far as 3/4 of a mile. This camping pass grants you one weekend parking spot in our Backcountry Camping parking area, and one tent tag for use in our hike-in primitive camping area. If the members of your vehicle require more than one tent, please purchase an additional tent tag.

NOTE: You must have a festival pass to camp at NMF and to be allowed access to the site. The Backcountry Camping Pass DOES NOT include a festival ticket.

RV Camping Pass SOLD OUT

An RV Camping Pass is required for each RV entering the Nelsonville Music Festival campground. Each RV space will be about 20′ X 50′. Tents can also be set up if they are within this space, and any slides or awnings must fit within this designated space too. As we develop our new festival site, The RV area does not yet have electricity and/or water hookups. Because of this, and unlike past NMFs, quiet generators are permitted in the RV area ONLY.

Please email tickets@nelsonvillefest.org if you’d like to join the waitlist.

NOTE: You must have a festival pass to camp at NMF and to be allowed access to the site. The RV Camping Pass DOES NOT include a festival ticket.

OFF-SITE LODGING

In addition to on-site camping, check out some of our region’s hotels, vacation rentals, and B&Bs.
If you choose to stay off-site, you will need to purchase a Non-Camping Parking Pass in addition to your ticket.
